juSt b_music Exquisite EP! Loving the stringy pads throughout, particularly in Viola...i think my top pick is Girasol with that wonderful light dnb percussion sequence with those same stunning pads...WOW! and the accompanying story that goes with this, beautifully written. Thank you Mr. Somfay for yet another amazing release. Favorite track: Girasol.

about

Suspended in the valance of a molten sky, the diamond hand of gravity slowing the mind to little more than a whisper.

Revealing itself from the fading mist; a solitary hand, held at the wrist by a figure not visible. Were it to be witnessed, the figure’s thumb would be placed upon the top, and the index and middle digits upon the pulse. Exposing itself; the hand of another - smaller but with equal splendor - not one measure away from the first.

They were curled over in grace; delicate and creating the impression of folding wings.

From their opposing hands, which were gently extended at their sides, was tied a single white thread aglow - laser light dancing in a slow wind.

Their faces were sleeping, their bodies turned back to back; leaves falling in stasis - not quite symmetrical, though with a natural elegance; a featherlight tectonic collision.

With the atrial flutter of a candle flame, the figure moved - curving its surroundings; gravitational lensing. The wrists of the two beings were then glacially pressed to each other and a third thread was seamlessly bound.

The figure vanished and for a moment left the surrounding area in a blur. It appeared as would the remaining negative space of a high altitude cloud removed from the sky.

A transparent smoke slowly emerged from the back of the second being - then followed the first. Once the beings had interfaced, the smoke had begun to glow a pleasing, digital, off-white; a latticework of flame-like tendrils transferred from one spine to the other. Such harmony was generated that you could feel it ringing you like a bell - every hair on end.

The threads floating from each being’s downcast wrists were becoming diffuse and were dividing at perfect intervals. Below them did these roots flow; into the periphery of the blinding heartcore at the centre of the Earth.

Alternating their speech - their voices nearly too beautiful to be heard - the two spake an alien tongue:

"I feel your heart moving." "In these waters I am naturalized."

"And I, the echo of your own." "Deeper do I go, deeper do I breathe."

"Outside edge of the first and final heart." "Breathing each other’s air."

"I relax myself and inhale the fragrance." "Drinking from one another’s spring."

"There is an angel who has come." "She moves the Earth to liquid with her music."

Upon the ground above do viola grow. Within the footsteps of rain.
